Nick Saban Provides Injury Updates on Terrion Arnold, Trez Marshall
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama had a massive second-half comeback to beat Tennessee Saturday afternoon.
One starter on defense didn't play at all, and one left the game in the second half and didn't return.
After the game, Alabama head coach Nick Saban said starting cornerback Terrion Arnold did not clear concussion protocol. Arnold left early in the second half and did not return.
"You don't play the guy, and that's for safety reasons," Saban said. "Hopefully in a few days he'll clear [protocol.]"
Starting linebacker Trezmen Marshall was dealing with bruised ribs and practiced in a no-contact jersey throughout the week. He could move around fine, but any time contact was made with his ribs, it caused too much discomfort.
Alabama will have the bye week this upcoming week to rest and recuperate players.
"Hopefully in two weeks he'll be OK," Saban said about Marshall. "He's been a really good competitor for us."
