Alabama’s Will Reichard was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Thursday morning.

The award goes to the best placekicker in college football.

This season, Reichard is 15-of-17 on field goals and a perfect 31-of-31 on extra points. He made his first 15 field goals to open the season before missing two last week against LSU.

The fifth-year Crimson Tide kicker has become the SEC's all-time leading scorer this season, and could pass the NCAA record later this year as he is currently in third.

Reichard was a finalist in 2020, but no player from Alabama has ever won the Groza Award.

A group of finalists will be named on Nov. 28 and honored at the 32nd annual Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Awards Banquet on Dec. 4. The 2023 winner of the Groza will be announced on Dec. 8 as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN.
