Alabama Receiver Announces Positive Update After Serious Injury
The Alabama Crimson Tide football program took the weekend off for Easter before returning for two more weeks of spring practice. It's been a relatively positive first spring for new head coach Kalen DeBoer as excitement is evident throughout the program.
The first major negative hit the program last Tuesday when Alabama sophomore receiver Jalen Hale suffered a major knee injury. Hale took to social media on Saturday to thank fans for well-wishes and update his status after leaving the Mal Moore Athletic Facility in an ambulance.
"I’m doing good everyone I’m out the hospital i’m moving around a little bit just waiting on my next process and get to my rehabilitation it wasn’t as bad as it could have been so I’m blessed and thankful for that I will return stronger than ever thanks everyone your support," Hale tweeted on Saturday.
Hale ended his freshman year with five receptions in 13 games for 148 yards and a touchdown. DeBoer confirmed he will miss the remainder of spring practice as he rehabilitates his injury.
"Good morning everyone just wanna say thank you for all the text and phone I have got so far I really appreciate the support and love and prayers," Hale tweeted on Thursday.
The Crimson Tide has six more practices before concluding with the annual spring A-Day game on Saturday, April 13 inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama will still have seven scholarship wide receivers to help them work through the rest of spring and perform in A-Day, led by Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice and Germie Bernard.
