Instant Analysis: No. 11 Alabama 34, No. 17 Tennessee 20

Alabama overcomes flat start, comes alive in second half to get the big win heading into the bye week.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The first half of Saturday's game was a train wreck for Alabama. Tennessee was up 20-7 and led in just about every faze of the game.

The light came on for Alabama on the first play of the second half with a 29-yard Jase McClellan run. The momentum turned to Alabama's favor the next play, a 46-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe to Isaiah Bond.

It was all Alabama after that as the Crimson Tide scored 27 unanswered points to take the 34-20 win.

"After they scored right before the half, I told the players at halftime, 'Everybody here has a choice to make—what do you want to accomplish, what do you want to do?'" Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "We went out and scored after the first two plays on offense and changed the momentum and played well from that time on."

The Crimson Tide defense allowed 275 yards in the first half while the offense generated just 133.

Alabama responded with one of its best halves of the season, racking up 225 yards while holding the Vols to just 129 yards.

Milroe was 14 of 21 passing for 220 yards and two touchdowns and one interception while McClellan had 115 rushing yards with a touchdown.

Jihaad Campble scooped up a fumble and returned it 24 yards for a Crimson Tide score.

Alabama (7-1, 5-0 SEC) has a bye week before taking on LSU at home on Nov. 5
