Alabama football held it's annual Fan Day celebration at Bryant-Denny Stadium, as the Crimson Tide starts to gear up for the 2023 season

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — So yes, it was hot out. Really hot with the heat index well over 100. But that didn't stop the Alabama Crimson Tide football team from taking the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium for Saturday’s practice and annual Fan Day.

Numerous new players — including transfers and prospects from the recruiting Class of 2023 — and coaches were on hand for their first fall viewing of any sort for fans or media. The two-hour workout featured drills held in shoulder pads and then some scrimmage-like execution sans hitting.

The mid-afternoon workout started at 2:30 p.m. CT and marked the third practice of fall camp as Alabama continued preparations for the 2023 season. Moving forward, the players will put on the pads and start gearing up for the their first full scrimmage next Saturday.

The players will be off from practicing on Sunday, while head coach Nick Saban will host media day for reporters along with new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, and defensive coordinator Kevin Steele.
