The Extra Point: No. 11 Alabama vs. No. 15 Tennessee, Jalen Milroe vs. Joe Milton

Similarly gifted quarterbacks, Milroe and Milton are set to face off in another potential slugfest on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
In this story:

Coming into the season, Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton was lauded as a potential Heisman Trophy favorite for Josh Heupel's Volunteers.

It's easy to see why scouts and fans were tantalized with the sixth-year former Michigan transfer. The talent is real — and so is the build.

Standing at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, Milton strikes fear into opponents with his shear size and arm talent — having been recorded tossing the pigskin upwards of 90 yards through the air, allegedly

Through five games however, it's been anything but tulips and daises for Milton who has struggled with accuracy and decision making in the pocket.

For Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, things seem to be clicking — with the Katy, Texas native tossing five touchdowns to one interception over his last two games while scoring an additional touchdown on the ground versus Arkansas.

While Milroe struggled in the second half versus the Razorbacks, signs that the junior quarterback is progressing have been apparent — with his highly-criticized intermediate accuracy showing improvement over the last couple of weeks.

After a brutal, field-storming 52-49 defeat last season in Knoxville, Milroe and the Crimson Tide will have their hands full once again with the Volunteers coming to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.
