2024 4-Star Prospect Kevin Riley Talks about His Relationship with Alabama

The Tuscaloosa County running back spoke about his relationship with the Crimson Tide during a 7-on-7 tournament in Alabaster, Ala.

ALABASTER, Ala. — Alabama football gets top-tier talent from all over the country, so it seems unfair that one of the best prospects in the 2024 recruiting class is in its own backyard.

That is the case with Kevin Riley, the 4-star running back who attends Tuscaloosa County High School in Northport, about 15 minutes from the University of Alabama's campus.

Riley's 7-on-7 team, GasCrew Elite, was competing at the Southern Xpress Border War 7-on-7 Tournament, and Riley talked about his current relationship with the Crimson Tide.

"My relationship is close," Riley said. "I can go and visit whenever. It's only about 10 minutes away from home. I feel like I have a pretty good connection and relationship with them as of now."

Most recruits of Riley's caliber were in Tuscaloosa for Junior Day, but with him being close enough to unofficially visit at any given time, it's understandable that he chose to compete with his 7-on-7 team in Alabaster.

In addition to Alabama, Riley said that LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee are still in the race for him. He also mentioned that he does not have any visits currently planned, but he does plan to visit some programs in the spring and summer.

"For this spring, I'm doing unofficial visits and then in the summer I'm going to do official visits," Riley said.

Regarding his commitment timeline, Riley said he has given it thought, but does not have anything set in stone.
