The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up another addition to its 2024 recruiting class in offensive lineman Joseph Ionata.

Ionata is considered a three-star prospect out of the state of Florida.

The 6-4.5, 295 pound offensive lineman is out of Calvary Christian in Clearwater Fla. He commits to Alabama over offers from Florida, Miami and Ole Miss.

His father Joey was an All-American offensive lineman for the Florida State Seminoles in the 1980s.

Ionata didn't waste any time committing to the Crimson Tide just two days after receiving the scholarship offer. He attended Alabama's football camp this past week and impressed the staff enough to earn a scholarship offer.

He becomes the 11th commitment to the 2024 class but he is the first offensive lineman to roll with the Tide in this cycle.

Ionata started at left tackle a junior for Calvary Christian, helping lead his team to a 10-3 record and paving the way for an offense that averaged over 400 yards a game.

Alabama offensive line coach Eric Wolford served as his primary recruiter. Wolford has seen a fruitful two days as he also was key on Anthony Rogers commitment on Friday.

The 2024 recruiting class is now considered the No. 11 class in the country and the No. 5 class in the SEC.
