With offseason roster turnover in full effect, Nate Oats and Alabama basketball have multiple roster spots open for prospects in the transfer portal.

On Monday afternoon, Hofstra transfer Aaron Estrada became the most recent transfer portal prospect to list the Crimson Tide as one of is top options, naming Alabama alongside Cincinnati, Kansas State and Florida State as his final four schools.

Estrada was one of the top scorers in all of college basketball for the Pride last season, scoring over 20 points per game during his senior season. He did it on pretty efficient shooting splits as well, shooting nearly 48 percent from the field, 37 percent from beyond the arc and 81 percent from the free throw line.

His efforts earned him CAA Player of the Year honors for the second season in a row.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 195 pounds, Estrada stepped into a large role for Hofstra his junior season in 2021-22 and averaged at least 18 points per game the past two seasons.

Estrada will be a graduate transfer and will have one season of eligibility remaining. He began his career at St. Peter’s, transferred to Oregon after one season, then spent the past two seasons at Hofstra.

The New Jersey native is the second major transfer portal prospect to name Alabama in his final list recently, joining Wofford transfer BJ Mack.

There is currently lots of uncertainty regarding Alabama's roster with Nimari Burnett and Jaden Bradley having already entered the transfer portal and three players currently testing the NBA Draft waters with the option open to return to school.
