Off the heels of a visit to the University of Oklahoma, 2021 four-star defensive back Latrell McCutchin has de-committed from Alabama and re-opened his recruitment.

The Austin, Tx. native verbally committed to the Crimson Tide over Texas in June of last year.

McCutchin missed the entirety of his junior season recovering from an ACL tear. 247Sports rates him as the 10th best cornerback in his class and No. 97 nationally. According to Rivals, the 6-foot-1, 175 pound corner is the fifth best corner and No. 64 player overall.

During his freshman campaign, he recorded 27 tackles and one interception.

In his announcement, McCutchin states that he will still heavily consider the Crimson Tide as a landing spot. The last time he was in Tuscaloosa was back in November for the LSU game.

He holds offers from a plethora of high major schools like Georgia, Penn State, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Tennessee, Baylor, Virginia Tech, and of course, the Sooners.

The visit to Norman was his first of the spring.

One of his teammate at LBJ High School, 2021 four-star defensive back Andrew Mukuba, who holds an Alabama offer, recently told BamaCentral that the duo talk about playing together at the college level all the time.

Now the Crimson Tide's 2021 recruiting class is only four-star quarterback Drake Maye (Charlotte, N.C.) and four-star defensive end Deontae Lawson (Mobile, Ala.). That class ranks 29th in the nation at the current moment and eighth in the SEC.
