The Alabama Crimson Tide has flipped a highly coveted prospect on National Early Signing Date as Nick Saban continues to bolster his class.

Aeryn Hampton, a 4-star athlete from Daingerfield, Tx., has flipped his commitment from Texas to the University of Alabama on Wednesday.

Hampson is considered the No. 38 player in the state of Texas and the No. 11 athlete in the class according to the 247SportsComposite.

He's listed at 5-foot-10, 175-pounds and will likely play wide receiver for Alabama once he arrives at the Capstone, but could play corner if he develops physically. He also plays basketball and runs track for Daingerfield High School, clocking an 11.5 100-meter dash in the spring of 2023.

He dominated as a high schooler, totaling over 2,000 receiving yards and multiple interceptions for an 11-4 football program in a smaller division in Texas.

He committed to Texas in July but was always flirting with Alabama, having visited Tuscaloosa a number of times through the season including the electric LSU weekend.

Hampton will be the Tide's fourth wide receiver in the class of 2024, joining Ryan Williams, Rico Scott and Amari Jefferson.

Receivers coach Holmon Wiggins and defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson served as his primary recruiters for Alabama.

He gives the Tide 24 total commitments in the class and pushes them closer to the No. 1 class in the cycle. Hampton may be undersized, but he could potentially be the best athlete in a class full of them, particularly with Jaylen Mbakwe and Ryan Williams.
