Alabama Football 2024 QB Commit Julian Sayin Wins Elite 11 Competition
Alabama Crimson Tide commit Julian Sayin slammed the door shut on his competition at the Elite 11 Finals at Redondo Union High School in Los Angeles.Β
Sayin followed up his competition leading Day 1 and Day 2 performance with another impressive outing on Day 3, resulting in the Crimson Tide commit taking home the hardware as Elite 11 Finals Champion.
The Carlsbad, Calif., native excelled in the first day showing off passing and pocket mechanics. The second day featured an NFL Pro Day style competition, where he was named MVP. On Friday, the final day of the competition, he excelled in a 7-on-7 style setting, finishing off his touchdown drive with a nice pass.
Sayin defeated 20 of the nation's top quarterback prospects including Georgia commit Dylan Riola.Β
DJ Lagway (Florida) Jadyn Davis (Michigan) Air Noland (Ohio State) and Colin Hurley (LSU) were among the other notable quarterbacks in attendance.
Sayin was complimented by industry scouts for his overall poise and presence during the three days of competition. His passing mechanics and consistency in his delivery were praised along with his accuracy and decision making.
He becomes the third Alabama commit to win the Elite 11 Finals, following in the footsteps of Tua Tagovailoa (2016) and Blake Barnett (2014). He joins the company of quarterbacks like Justin Fields, Andrew Luck, Kyler Murray and Trevor Lawrence as winners.
