When it rains, it pours. Alabama escaped with a win against the Arkansas Razorbacks, advancing to 6-1 and 4-0 in SEC play.

While it's always good for fans when Alabama wins, Saturday's win became even sweeter after the game when fans took to social media and saw Alabama land another commitment in the 2025 recruiting class: in-state linebacker Myles Johnson.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound athlete is considered the No. 17 overall player in the state of Alabama for 2025. He was offered a scholarship by the Crimson Tide on June 16 following a strong camp performance.

Alabama was the first SEC school to offer Johnson, followed 15 days later by Mississippi State.

As a sophomore at T.R. Miller in 2022, Johnson played as a running back and a linebacker, helping lead the Tigers to a 10-2 record and a 4A Region One Title, before losing to the Hadley Tigers in the second round of the playoffs. T.R. Miller is currently out to a 5-2 record and 4-1 in region play in 2023. Johnson is rehabbing a knee injury and has not played in 2023 season according to On3 Sports.

Johnson is the only three-star recruit and the only linebacker currently in the Crimson Tide's 2025 class. Alabama's class consists of two wide receivers, two offensive linemen, one defensive lineman, and one running back. The Tide holds the No. 2 overall class in 2025 according to 247Sports behind the Georgia Bulldogs, who have one more commit than Alabama.
