Even while still putting together his coaching staff for next season, Alabama basketball head coach Nate Oats is hard at work recruiting in the transfer portal to complete next year's roster.

On Wednesday afternoon, On3 Sports reported that North Texas transfer Tylor Perry will visit Alabama next week. Perry has already taken a visit to Florida last week.

Perry was one of the most dynamic players at the mid-major level last season, earning C-USA Player of the Year honors after averaging over 17 points per game for the NIT Champion Mean Green.

While lacking significant size for a point guard at just 5-foot-11, Perry is a scoring machine that would fit into Alabama's offensive system perfectly with a 3-point percentage of over 41 percent for the past two seasons.

Perry has spent the past two seasons at North Texas, and before that spent his first two years of college basketball at the JUCO level, playing for Coffeyville Community College. He has one season of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.

Alabama still has a lot of roster turnover to figure out, with six confirmed departures and three more players in Jahvon Quinerly, Charles Bediako and Mark Sears testing the NBA Draft waters with the option to return to school.

Perry is one of a few transfers that Alabama has scheduled visits with in the coming weeks, joining Wofford transfer BJ Mack, Hofstra transfer Aaron Estrada, and potentially Cal State Fullerton transfer Latrell Wrightsell Jr.
