With the college basketball season officially ending with the conclusion of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, transfer portal season is now in full swing.

Already having two players announce their decisions to transfer out of the program in Nimari Burnett and Jaden Bradley, head coach Nate Oats will look to do some reloading in the transfer portal, and recently made the top-5 of a highly coveted prospect.

Wofford transfer BJ Mack, a 6-foot-8 forward, named Alabama in his top five alongside the likes of Arkansas, LSU, Iowa and South Carolina.

Alabama was not listed in Mack's initial top-10 list last month, but was added here.

Mack, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, averaged 16.6 points and 5.6 rebounds last season for the Terriers, earning him first team All-SoCon honors.

On3 Sports reported that Mack will visit Alabama from April 14-16.

Mack seems like a player that can seemingly slide into the starting power forward spot vacated by Noah Clowney's decision to leave for the NBA Draft. Mack shot 35 percent from three last season, showcasing an ability to stretch the floor and has the size at 245 pounds to compete with big men in the SEC.

Mack scored at least 20 points in nine different games last season.

Beginning his college career at USF, Mack transferred to Wofford for the next three years of his career, even being teammates with Alabama forward Nick Pringle during the 2020-21 season. Mack will be a grad transfer, with next year being his final year of eligibility.

Alabama currently has three open scholarships remaining.
