The Alabama Crimson Tide football program is breaking for Easter weekend but it still was a busy week around the Mal Moore Athletic Facility. The program hosted several prospects on campus throughout the week but specifically loaded up with visitors on Thursday to watch the Tide's first scrimmage under new head coach Kalen DeBoer.

The Crimson Tide kicked off the week on the recruiting trail with a win as Luke Metz announced his commitment to Alabama on Sunday. Metz became Alabama's eighth commit in the current cycle propelling the Tide to the No. 6 overall recruiting class.

Alabama's Class of 2025 has four linebackers, a running back, a receiver a defensive lineman and a cornerback. It's not a bad start for DeBoer and his staff considering the uphill battle they started with to both evaluate and establish relationships for a new program. The next major move for the staff appears to be adding an elite quarterback into the group.

The Crimson Tide hosted 5-star prospect Julian "Ju-Ju" Lewis on Thursday for his second visit of the month and at least his 10th visit overall to Tuscaloosa. Lewis is currently still committed to the USC Trojans but the Carrollton High School product has continued to flirt heavily with the Crimson Tide.

Lewis isn't the only quarterback prospect DeBoer is kicking the tires on. Matt Zollers is a 4-star prospect out of Pennsylvania who's planning on visiting Tuscaloosa on Monday according to On3 Sports. If Alabama ends up striking out in the Class of 2025 they'll likely ramp up the recruitment of Faizon Brandon, a rising junior standing at 6-foot-4 and considered the No. 5 quarterback in the Class of 2026.
