Alabama pitcher Kayla Beaver was honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Wednesday.

Beaver earned an at-large spot on the NFCA Second Team All-America list. It was the first time in her five-year college softball career that she has been named an all-American.

After transferring in from Central Arkansas, Beaver quickly solidified herself as Alabama's ace. She threw a no-hitter in her first game with the Crimson Tide back on Feb. 8 against Villanova. The fifth-year pitcher led the Tide this season with an 18-9 record and 1.54 ERA in 186.1 innings pitched.

Beaver was also named a second-team all-American by D1 Softball on Thursday.
