Alabama Softball Greats Haylie McCleney, Montana Fouts Named to 2023 Team USA Softball Pan Am Games Roster
Two Alabama softball legends will have another opportunity to team up against while representing the United States.
Haylie McCleney and Montana Fouts have been selected to the USA Softball Women’s National Team roster that will compete at the 2023 Pan American games in Santiago, Chile.
While not ever overlapping at Alabama, McCleney and Fouts were both part of the Team USA roster that won the gold medal at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham last summer.
McCleney has played with Team USA since 2014, including leading the team in batting at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on the way to a sliver medal. This will mark the second straight summer for Fouts with the team.
Both players were four-time All-Americans at Alabama. McCleney played with the Crimson Tide from 2013-2016, and Fouts just wrapped up her five-year career from 2019-2023.
Alabama is one of four schools alongside Washington, LSU and UCLA with multiple players represented on the roster.
