Alabama Softball Shuffles Staff, Names Adam Arbour as Assistant Coach

Head coach Patrick Murphy announces promotions and changes to the Crimson Tide softball staff.

The Alabama Crimson Tide softball staff is undergoing changes as members are moved into new roles for the upcoming season.

Head coach Patrick Murphy announced by way of press release the promotion of Adam Arbour into the third assistant role and Ryan Iamurri is promoted to a full-time Coordinator of Player Management role.

“Adam Arbour and Ryan Iamurri are two of the best people I know,” UA head softball coach Patrick Murphy said in a press release. “We are so fortunate to have both of them in our program right now. They are both former national champions at Alabama and know how important softball is to our community."

Arbour will primarily be responsible for the Alabama hitters and catchers after serving as Coordinator of Player Management last season. Arbour has been a part of the Crimson Tide staff in a volunteer role before being moved into the player management position last season.

He's a Michigan graduate and spent three seasons with the Wolverine's program before joining the Alabama staff in 2012. Arbour left the Tide staff in 2015 for a one-year stint at Iowa, but returned to Tuscaloosa in 2016 to rejoin the staff.

Iamurri played for the Crimson Tide from 2011-14 and joined Murphy's staff as a volunteer in the fall of 2021. Her new role will require her to gather and interpret data and coordinate analytics for both offense and defense.
