Basketball:

2021 5-star PG Devin Askew will visit Arizona this weekend for the Red/Blue game. He will make an unofficial visit to Memphis and an official to Kentucky next week.

Askew is not the only player visiting this weekend. The Wildcats may end up with over 10 players in town. Among those known to be coming are UA commit Dalen Terry. Terry will come with his Hillcrest prep teammates Michael Foster and Puff Johnson. The Wildcats also offered Hillcrest’s Sadraque Nganga last week, so it would not be a surprise if he attended as well.

Five-star big man Nathan Bittle is another player expected to visit for the Wildcats’ big scrimmage.

According to Wildcat Authority, Arizona coaches visited 5-star wing Ziaire Williams this week.

Stockrisers are reporting Arizona sent an assistant coach to visit top-50 big man Frank Anselem.

The Wildcats have also gone out to see Long Beach Poly SF Peyton Watson. Watson visited Arizona on Sept 13 and will visit Washington this weekend.

Late last week top-30 bigman Dawson Garcia narrowed his list to seven schools: Arizona, North Carolina, Memphis, Indiana, Kansas, Marquette and Minnesota. He is expected to visit the home state Gophers this weekend.

Football:

Roberto Miranda, a 6-3 WR from Germany, will visit on Oct 11-13.

Arizona has made the top three for Texas DB Nate Floyd along with Texas Tech and Missouri.

Taking advantage of the bye week, Arizona coaches recruited in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

Two of those Arizona visits involved a helicopter. Kevin Sumlin and Marcel Yates used a “swag copter” to visit DE prospect Jason Harris (6-7/220 – Gilbert, AZ/Higley HS) and Regen Terry (6-3/230 – Florence (AZ) HS). Harris was playing in Goodyear, while Terry was playing in Buckeye. Sumlin could not comment on the recruits, but did say that the use of the helicopter was to avoid Phoenix area traffic and ensure they could see parts of both games.

Arizona has recently offered:

2021 4-star running back Brandon Campbell of Pearland (Tx) HS.

2020 Baton Rouge WR Reginald Johnson. He is currently committed to Houston.

Independence CC (and Washington native) DL Mosiah Nasil-Kite.

Baseball:

Notre Dame Prep’s Tag Bross committed. He is a lefthanded OF/1B from Scottsdale.
