William the entertainer played his way dozens of offers, choosing the Wildcats over OK state, CU, and even OSU where QB’s throw for 5,000 every year. Here’s why he might be competing for starting time sooner than most expect in the Dirty T.

Strengths:

Natural Athlete - Dominated in his first season at varsity QB, garnering interest out of the blue. He was a talented defensive back and wide receiver as a sophomore before trying his luck in the pocket; But now, Plummer steps up in the pocket like he’s been doing it since he was 8.

Touch - Not great arm strength, especially when throwing from his back foot too often. Reminds me a lot of Baker Mayfield’s game. He can zing it when he wants too, but he has a fadeaway tendency to fall out of his throws despite appearing confident in the pocket.

His sense of when to zing it and when to place it is fun to watch, and when he’s on, he looks like a pitcher with a deadly fastball changeup combo.

Mobility In The Pocket - Not a runner, but he can run. He's very aware of where the pocket is collapsing and his closest escape route.

Throwing On The Run - Derek Jeter would be proud
