LITTLE ROCK — Grayson Wilson, a 2025 Arkansas quarterback commitment, was one of the first players to jump on board when Dan Enos was hired as offensive coordinator. Currently a 3-star prospect in the class of 2025, he is putting up record numbers and still has a season left in his prep football career.

Through nine games, the 6-foot-3, 185 pounder from Central Arkansas Christian has completed 164-238 attempts for 2,547 yards and 31 touchdowns with only two interceptions. Wilson has displayed his wheels for the Mustangs this season with 583 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

He chose the Arkansas because of offensive coordinator Dan Enos’ history of placing quarterbacks in the NFL. Enos has been known as a great developer of arm talent and that caught the eye of Wilson, who takes coaching well.

“Development and improvement everyday," Wilson said. "You have to come in and be better.”

Following the termination of Enos, the Wilson family reached out Sunday evening with a statement regarding the star quarterback's reaction to the firing.

"I am really sad to hear about Coach Enos," Wilson said. "I think I would’ve been a great fit in his offense. He’s part of a lot of awesome memories, and I appreciate him for believing in me. I respect Coach [Sam] Pittman and his decision, and I look forward to seeing who he hires as the next OC/QB coach."

The decision to fire Enos on Saturday comes on the heels of an offensive performance that saw the Razorbacks record just 200 total yards against Mississippi State. The Bulldogs went into Saturday's contest giving up 25 points per game and nearly 400 yards.

For now, Pittman turns to former Ohio State quarterback and current wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton, who will call offensive plays for the first time in his career. Guiton was hired at Arkansas following the departure of former receivers coach Justin Stepp to South Carolina.
