FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — With spring practice starting this week for Razorback football, that means newcomers receive their jersey numbers

For the fourth straight season, a running back will wear the No. 0. True freshman Braylen Russell received the number with AJ Green transferring to Oklahoma State following the 2023 season. Russell was a force at the prep level in Arkansas. He recorded 167 carries tfor 1,359 yards and 20 touchdowns. The Benton star added 18 receptions for 351 receiving yards and five scores as a senior.

Temple, Texas defensive back Selman Bridges will wear No. 2. Ranked in the Top 100 with 247sports, Bridges remained one of the top 4-star signees in the class. At 6-foot-2, 163 pounds, he was a member of the All-American Bowl as a senior finishing with 19 tackles, three pass break-ups and one interception. Bridges chose Arkansas over the likes of Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Penn State.

Leeds, Alabama native Kavion Henderson was one of Arkansas’ longest tenured verbal commitments before signing during the December period. He holds ready to play size at 6-foot-2, 253 pounds and will wear No. 6 which will continue the trend of defensive linemen wearing a single digit jersey.

Ranked as the No. 156 prospect by Rivals, Henderson recorded 45 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, seven sacks and two quarterback hurries. He also chose Arkansas over home state schools Alabama and Auburn, Michigan, Georgia, LSU and Kentucky.

Another single digit defensive lineman will be Little Rock’s Charlie Collins who will wear the legendary No. 9. The top prospect in Arkansas for the 2024 class caused havoc in opposing backfields throughout his high school career. He recorded 239 tackles, 77 tackles for loss and 24 sacks in 23 career games.

Ole Miss made a notable push to flip his commitment from Arkansas. However, Collins remained steadfast in his verbal pledge to the Razorbacks.

Freshman 4-star quarterback KJ Jackson will don No. 15. The 6-foot-4, 222 pound lefty finished his high school career with 130 career touchdown passes, ranking third all-time in Alabama. He committed to Arkansas over North Carolina, Ole Miss and Penn State.

South Panola, Mississippi defensive back Julius Pope will wear No. 21. The number was last worn by Montaric Brown. Pope signed with Arkansas as an athlete over Alabama, Michigan and Oregon. He totaled 82 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and nine sacks as a junior at linebacker before converting to defensive back.

Tevis Metcalf, younger brother of sophomore TJ, will wear No. 24 and play defensive back. Texarkana, Texas native Ahkhari Johnson played mostly quarterback in high school but will play cornerback at Arkansas. He will wear No. 27.

Kell, Georgia native Justin Logan was on of the nation’s most sought after linebackers in the class with around 30 offers. Logan, a 4-star with Rivals, will wear No. 28. He chose Arkansas over Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland, South Carolina and UCF.

Defensive back Jaden Allen will be No 29. The Aledo, Texas native signed with Arkansas as a consensus 3-star and chose the Razorbacks over Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Texas and USC. Allen recorded 43 tackles and one interception as a senior.

Fort Smith offensive lineman Kobe Branham will wear No. 50. The 6-foot-5, 323 pounder has ready made size of the college level. He recorded 56 pancake blocks as a senior at Southside High school and didn’t give up a sack. Branham chose Arkansas over Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and SMU.

Freshman offensive lineman Zuri Madison picked No. 57 to begin his college career. The Lexington, Kentucky native stands an impressive 6-foot-3, 315 pounds leading into spring practice.

Consensus 3-star Bentonville wideout CJ Brown will wear No. 84 for the Razorbacks. He was electric as a senior catching 55 passes for 1,254 yards (23 yards per catch) and 15 touchdowns. Brown chose Arkansas over Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Purdue.
