Former Arkansas right guard Beau Limmer has been a standout at Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Alabama. The game is Saturday, but the biggest stories are in practices this week with anybody that's anybody in the NFL watching and evaluating practices. Most of them will leave town Friday afternoon. Limmer is competing alongside some of the best potential prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class, including Michael Penix Jr., Bo Nix, Laiatu Latu, and others.

On Wednesday, NFL football analyst Brandon Thorn tweeted a short clip of Limmer going head-to-head with the big Longhorns defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat. Even with Limmer weighing 50 pounds less than Sweat, he held his ground. The analyst took notice writing “one of my favorite reps of the day was Beaux Limmer getting under/inside and displacing sweat off the ball…”

The Senior Bowl is an invite-only event reserved for seniors and graduated juniors, as well as underclassmen who have declared for the NFL draft.

There was another snap during the drill when Limmer was bullied to the ground hy Sweat.

However, the anchor of Arkansas’ offensive line was able to get the best of Sweat a second time. He put the Texas star defender on the ground in seconds.

Limmer was a three-and-a-half year starter for Arkansas, primarily at right guard, before being switch to center full-time during the 2023 season. Limmer played in 12 games in 2023, allowing eight QB hurries, one QB hit, and four sacks while playing most of his snaps at center.

The 6-5, 305 pound center was known as a weight room stud with a 700-pound squat and a team-best 445 pound bench press. Limmer is considered the No. 8 center prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft, per Mel Kiper's mock board.

As a unit, the Razorbacks' offensive line was collectively one of the worst units in college football, ranking No. 128 nationally with 47 sacks. With 12 games played, that gives Arkansas nearly a four sack per game total which was easily worst in the SEC.

Following the season, Sam Pittman replaced departing offensive line coach Cody Kennedy with known trench guru Eric Mateos. The former Baylor and BYU assistant led both programs to semifinal finishes for the Joe Moore Award.

While this season had an atrocious season, at least Limmer showed out in individual workouts, nonetheless against a long-time rival and SEC school.
