Hogs Tap Into Alabama, Steal Top Prospect
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks reached into 'Roll Tide' country to land one of the nation's top prospects. Bradley Shaw committed to Arkansas Christmas morning over Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame, Washington and USC amongst 27 offers.
The 6-foot-1, 215 pounder is ranked as the No. 101 overall prospect in the class of 2024, per 247sports rankings. Shaw is considered the No. 8 linebacker in the country and No. 9 prospect in the state of Alabama. His lead recruiter is Arkansas defensive coordinator Travis Williams who played his college ball at Auburn from 2001-2005.
Arkansas is looking for extra bodies at linebacker for next season with three players hitting the portal in Chris Paul (Ole Miss), Jordan Crook (Arizona State) and Mani Powell (uncommitted) who all departed the program. A returning Jaheim Thomas, who led the Razorbacks in tackles with 90, will be a boost to the room. While Georgia transfer Xavian Sorey announced his decision to become a Razorback on Wednesday. The addition of Shaw gives the Razorbacks three former 4-star prospects at linebacker.
Shaw joins a solid trio of linebackers that includes Wyatt Simmons of Searcy and Justin Logan from Marietta, Georgia. Simmons and Logan were both highly regarded with 20-plus offers between the both of them. For those interested in receiving a glimpse of their newest commitment under the lights, Shaw will compete in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio on January 6 at 12 PM. He will also be joined for the game by fellow Razorback signees edge rusher Charleston Collins and defensive back Selman Bridges.
