FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Joseph Pinion was part of the Arkansas Razorbacks' No. 2-rated class in the country in 2022, but never did find much playing time in the SEC. It was even less this past season, where he sat on the bench throughout much of a disappointing sub-.500 season with no tournament game and player departures.

After his junior year with the Hogs, Pinion announced on X on Saturday, after entering the transfer portal, he has landed in-state at Arkansas State. He entered the transfer portal March 15 after seeking to fulfill his dream of playing for the Razorbacks come to an end.

The Razorbacks added their first player from the portal on Thursday with UMass big man Josh Cohen coming to provide Musselman with some size and a presence inside that hasn't been consistent this past season.

He still has a massive amount of new faces to bring in and getting some help inside was a priority with only Baye Fall, who saw hardly any playing time this past year, being the only returning player for the inside game.
