LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Apparently, Arkansas fans haven't heard the last of Davonte Davis.

The former Razorbacks guard has a weekly interview during "The Zone" on 103.7 The Buzz. However, while no one expected Davis would make his regular appearance Thursday afternoon, an announcement regarding his status with the show was made.

At the top of the 1 o'clock hour, the audience was told Davis wouldn't be make Thursday's show, but that his representative said he would rejoin "The Zone" for his scheduled segments in the near future.

The hosts used this information to encourage fans to listen to the show daily because no one knows for sure when Davis will pop on, just that he has promised he will. It is part of an NIL deal with the station that is sponsored by Gwatney Chevrolet in his home town of Jacksonville.

Whether this is an indication he will return to the team similar to last season is unclear. Teammates have hinted this might be a possibility, but Razorbacks coach Eric Musselman wasn't willing to answer questions about whether there was a path back to the team for Davis when the announcement was made that he was stepping away.
