Four-Star Recruit Kicks off Musselman's 2024 Class
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Four-star recruit Jalen Shelley has signed a national letter of intent to join coach Eric Musselman and the Razorbacks to jumpstart the 2024 recruiting class for the Hogs after originally committing in September.
Shelley, a native of Frisco, Texas, played at Prestonwood Christian Academy last year as a junior, averaging 18.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. He will finish high school at Link Academy in Branson, Missouri. He is a consensus top-75 recruit nationally and the third-best recruit from Missouri according to ESPN.
“I’ve been recruited by Arkansas for the past year now and I’ve built a good relationship with all the coaches, " Shelley told Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog when he unveiled his finalists. "Their recent success with developing and putting guys in the NBA has really caught my eye.”
The 6-8 forward chose Arkansas over Louisville, Marquette, Ohio State, LSU and others after declaring his list of eight finalists over the summer. Musselman is coming off back-to-back top 15 overall recruiting classes according to 247Sports.
