Another Former Razorback Gone Too Soon

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Hog hearts can only take so much. Former Razorback Reggie Cheney passed away at the age of 23, Joesph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports. No further information is available at this time.

Former Houston forward Reggie Chaney, a member of the 2021 Final Four team, has passed away. He was 23.
Chaney began his career at Arkansas.

Cheney played with Arkansas for two seasons (2018-2020) before transferring to the University of Houston in 2020 and finishing his collegiate career this year. Between the two schools, he averaged 4.0 points and 3.0 rebounds. Cheney was a member of the 2020-2021 Cougar Final Four team.
News of Cheney's passing adds to a long list of people with ties to the Razorbacks to have their life taken away from them this summer. A list that now includes, among others, Ryan Mallett, Alex Collins and Keith Stokes.
Cheney had plans to begin playing professionally in Greece this fall.
