Former Razorback Signs 2-Year Deal with Pistons

Umude has averaged 5.2 points in 17 Pistons games this season while scoring 17 points a night for their Motor City Cruise G League affiliate. Umude has consistently been the best performer of Detroit’s G League players who have managed to get called up to the Pistons. He has appeared in 17 games for the Pistons this season, averaging 5.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11.2 minutes per game. Umude averaged 17.1 points and 5.6 rebounds for the Cruise this season.
He was only on the Razorbacks' roster for the 2021-22 season, but he did have a big impact on a team that made it to the Elite 8. Played in all 37 games, helping the Razorbacks reach the Elite 8, with 25 starts … Led the team in 3-point shooting at 37.1% (53-143), was second on the team in scoring (11.9) and added 4.6 rebounds. Hogs coach Eric Musselman didn't waste a lot of time offering his congratulations on the news.
After going undrafted in 2022, he joined the Pistons on an Exhibit-10 contract during training camp and landed with the Cruise that November. He made one brief appearance with the Pistons, but set himself up for a larger role this season with a strong performance in summer league last July. The Pistons signed him to a two-way contract in October.
