FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas guard Khalif Battle has entered the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility after one season with the Razorbacks. Battle joined the Hogs after spending his previous three seasons at Temple.

Battle's announcement comes within the hour of coach Eric Musselman leaving Arkansas and becoming the next coach at USC. In 30 games (11 starts), Battle averaged 14.3 points and 3.1 assists per game and became the team's primary scorer down the stretch in SEC play.

Although Battle's time at Arkansas was short-lived, he does go down in the Razorback history book for some amazing single-game performances. He scored 42 points against Missouri, good enough for seventh-most by a Hog all-time, and one short of the school SEC record (Todd Day, 1992).

Seven Razorbacks from the 2022-23 roster have now entered the transfer portal. The Razorbacks are down to just two scholarship players yet to make their announcement on their intentions for next season, Tramon Mark and Trevon Brazile. Whoever the new coach will be will have eight roster spots to fill.
