FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — This is where the latest involving Arkansas Razorbacks coach Eric Musselman, who is likely heading out the door to the USC Trojans if reports now making the national rounds are accurate.

Earlier on Thursday, there may be been a sign when freshman Baye Fall, the only returning inside player, hit the transfer portal according to a social media post.

Reports in Northwest Arkansas in the early afternoon that the Musselmans were getting on a plane in Bentonville headed to Los Angeles and the national reports started flying in the deal was done but nothing is final yet until somebody steps to a microphone. The national outlets started with CBS and On3.com putting out the deals were done on social media:.

Now there will be a search for a new coach. Any reports will call it a national search, but athletics director Hunter Yurachek probably had a working list of coaches he might have in mind. Or at least he should have.

Everything will start with Ole Miss coach Chris Beard, who many fans wanted when Mike Anderson was let go. Beard, the former coach at Little Rock, has been with the Rebels just one season, and has a contract extension presented to him by Ole Miss. Whether he has yet to sign it has been unclear based on reports.

To kinda start the ball rolling, whoever the Razorbacks pick for a coach won't have to Khalif Battle to count on for scoring. He jumped into the transfer portal after all the news about Musselman.
