Arkansas Loses Leading Scorer to Transfer Portal
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Tramon Mark is entering the transfer portal after leading the Hogs in scoring this past season at 16 points a game., Mark is the second scholarship Razorback player to transfer since Eric Musselman announced he would leave for USC on Thursday.
There really aren't many players from last season left on the roster. Whoever the coach will be going forward he's going to have to recruit a complete roster.
The Dickinson, Texas, native started his career with Houston. He was an integral part of a Sweet Sixteen run with the Cougars during the 2023 NCAA Tournament where he scored a then career-high 26 points and nine rebounds against Auburn.
Looking to broaden his offensive game, Mark transferred to Arkansas with an opportunity to prove himself as a go-to guard. He scored a pair of 30-point performances against North Carolina and Texas A&M this past season. Mark scored 20 or more points in 10 games this season.
During his lone season with the Razorbacks, Mark posted career highs in field goal percentage (48%), three point percentage (36%) and 24 blocks.
The senior-to-be still has two seasons of eligibility remaining unless he decides to go the professional route. Mark joins Khalif Battle as the second Razorback to enter the portal this week.
Joseph Pinion, Layden Blocker and Devo Davis are other guard’s with eligibility remaining to transfer. Freshman Baye Fall is the second big man to enter the transfer portal since the close of the season, joining seldom used Denijay Harris. The only remaining player on the roster is junior forward Trevon Brazile.
With Arkansas yet to find a coach to replace the departed Musselman, it restricts the Razorbacks from being to interactive in the portal. However, the assistants who remain in Fayeetville have kept contact with several players looking for new homes.
