Auburn Adds Another Top Recruit

The Tigers Add Another Recruit From Georgia
In this story:

Auburn's recruiting efforts continue to lead to verbal commitments.

The Tigers added another player from the Peach State after he took in the Auburn junior day this past weekend. The Tigers' 2024 class had two players from the state of Georgia. With Hollis Davidson now a part of Hugh Freeze's 2025 class, there are already two players from Georgia and it's just February.

Davidson has become the eighth commitment in the class and the second tight end, joining fellow Georgia prospect Ryan Ghea from Milton (Ga.) High School. The Tigers did not sign a tight end in the prior recruiting class so two tight ends make sense for the class of 2025.

Coming from Peachtree City (Ga.) McIntosh, Davidson holds offers from the likes of Florida, Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Penn State, among others. He's a 4-star recruit by Rivals and is also ranked as the #9 tight end in the country.

He's already 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds. Even at his size, Davidson fits in as a traditional inline tight end or as a player who moves to the perimeter and makes plays within passing tame. Regardless of where Davidson lines up, his natural athleticism stands out on film.

Welcome to the Plains young Mr. Davidson!
