Auburn In, Bama Out, For Top In-State Recruit

Auburn makes the cut for talented 2025 recruit
In this story:

Auburn's 2025 recruiting efforts forge on with good news.

One of the nation's top running backs is down to five schools. With Auburn not signing a running back recruit from the class of 2024, it's imperative the Tigers land at least one, if not two, top-notch prospects from the 2025 recruiting class.

As Rivals' #3 running back and No. 36 player nationally, Alvin Henderson will select from Penn State, Miami, Auburn, Florida State, and Oregon. There are some interesting points to Henderson's final five.

No Alabama? No Georgia? No other SEC school besides Auburn?

Here are some thoughts about this list as Henderson's recruitment is not the easiest to decipher.

Auburn should be considered the odds-on favorite until otherwise proven. He's been to the Plains several times and holds a good relationship with the AU staff. It does not hurt that Elba (Ala.) High School is roughly two hours from Auburn's campus either.

Miami and Florida State would seem like the most likely competitors for Henderson. Both are from the South and he's made multiple trips to each of those schools, too. Let's see where Henderson sets all off his official visits.

Auburn appears to be in good shape for Henderson. He would be a welcome addition to the AU football program.
