Auburn Tigers Gain OT Seth Wilfred
The 2024 Auburn Tigers recruiting class is getting bigger, but this time it's not a high school prospect. The latest recruit to say yes to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers would Seth Wilfred from Ephraim (Utah) Snow College.
The 6-foot-6 and 295-pound offensive tackle made an official visit to the Plains this past weekend prior to making his college decision.
He is only one year removed from high school, so Wilfred will be a sophomore at Auburn next season. He could still also redshirt with Auburn and could play his final season in 2027.
Among the schools that made offers to Wilfred were Arizona State, Houston, Iowa State, Utah State, Liberty, North Texas, and Akron. Wilfred's story is unique so it's not surprising he's been overlooked by some college football programs.
He did not play a lot for perennial high school powerhouse Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gormon and that's why he went to Snow Junior College. Once his film began to circulate, that's when the offers began.
Wilfred is the second offensive line commitment for the Tigers, and he's the 20th commitment overall for Auburn.
