Offensive tackle Seth Wilfred signs with the Auburn Tigers
The Tigers have signed a strong JUCO offensive tackle.
Seth Wilfred, a three-star prospect, has signed with Auburn. Wilfred is the No. 5 offensive tackle in the JUCO ranks and the No. 1 player in Nevada.
He is only one year removed from high school, so Wilfred will be a sophomore at Auburn next season. He could still also redshirt with Auburn and could play his final season in 2027.
Here's a look at Wilfred as a prospect:
Seth Wilfred
Size: 6-foot-6, 295 pounds
Position: Offensive Tackle
Junior College: Snow College
Recruitment: Among the schools that made offers to Wilfred were Arizona State, Houston, Iowa State, Utah State, Liberty, North Texas, and Akron. Wilfred's story is unique so it's not surprising he's been overlooked by some college football programs.
Frame: College-ready. Robust and powerful, Carter exemplifies a dominant presence along the trenches. Of note, his legs are huge but also muscle; he’s not a sloppy-looking recruit that’s just big. Shoulders are wide and Carter is quite capable of carrying over 300 pounds without an issue.
With Auburn’s strength and conditioning program, he will be able to take another step forward and be even more muscular. His upside is tremendous.
Notes: He did not play a lot for perennial high school powerhouse Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gormon and that's why he went to Snow Junior College. Once his film began to circulate, that's when the offers began.
