Top 2025 QB Lists Auburn Among Top Schools
The Auburn Tigers are going after a top quarterback from the 2025 recruiting class.
Head coach Hugh Freeze has done a phenomenal job on the recruiting trail in his first year and change on the Plains, having landed two 5-star wide receivers and a top ten recruiting class for the 2024 cycle.
Now the Tigers are after one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 class. TJ Lateef, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound QB from Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, California, has placed Auburn inside his top seven schools. The Tigers made the cut alongside the Colorado Buffaloes, the Arizona Wildcats, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Florida State Seminoles, the Texas A&M Aggies, and the Ole Miss Rebels.
Lateef is ranked as the No. 19 quarterback in the 2025 cycle and the No. 22 player from the state of California according to the 247Sports' composite ratings. He's the No. 160 overall player, the No. 9 quarterback and the No. 14 player in California according to just 247Sports' ratings.
“I can go down the line with each school," Lateef said. "Colorado being there since like, from the start. Florida State being an early offer for me, too, you know what I’m saying — being on this journey with me. And then Auburn, I really like Auburn and what they’re doing, their recruiting class. I feel like Hugh Freeze has something going on underneath his sleeve and I just want to be a part of that.”
According to On3, Lateef plans on committing sometime this spring.
