Auburn gets its first sweep of the season after defeating Lipscomb 4-3.

Auburn wins game three 4-3 over Lipscomb to complete the sweep /

Auburn gets its ninth win of the season over behind a strong pitching effort from Zach Crotchfelt and John Armstrong.

Bryson Ware hit a three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the eighth to give Auburn the 4-3 lead, then Armstrong shut the door in the ninth.

What an excellent ball game and a big win for the Tigers, helping them to sweep a really impressive mid-major baseball team.

The Tigers will be back in action on Tuesday against UAB at 6 pm ct.

Ninth Inning Auburn leads 4-3

Armstrong is looking to close this ball game out.

Interesting note: Armstorng has a chance to be on of the best relievers in all of college baseball this season.

True Freshman Hayden Murphey is on to pitch for the Tigers.

A pop out to Stanfield is the first out of the inning.

A great play by Foster is the second out of the inning. That one looked like a base knock off the bat.

A pop out to LaRue ends the top of the fifth.

Interesting note: Murphy looked great in that inning. The fastball got up to 94mph and he controlled his off speed pitches. Murphy is a name to note for the Tigers when SEC play approaches.

We head to the bottom with Lipscomb leading 2-0.

Stanfield draws a walk!

For the first time in this game Auburn has a leadoff man aboard.

That will bring up Hill.

A base hit from Hill gives Auburn first and second with no one out.

That was a funny looking play as Stanfield was stealing second when the hit occurred.

LaRue was looking to bunt but a passed ball moves the runners to second and third. Huge right there as Auburn saves the out.

All four of those pitches were close to the strike zone. He isn't missing by much.

Interesting note: These Bison hitters have great bat control. When they are beat on off speed they find a way to get a bat on it.
