The best photos from Auburn baseball's regional loss to Penn
In a thrilling match, Auburn suffered a 6-3 loss to Penn in eleven innings, landing them in the losers bracket. They will face Southern Miss in the losers' bracket on Saturday.
However, Auburn showcased its resilience yet again by battling back. They managed to tie the game at three in the eighth inning through a Brody Moss RBI walk, utilizing pinch hitters and a pinch-runner.
Auburn's runs came from two walks and a fielder's choice, with all hits being singles. Struggling at the plate, Auburn struck out fourteen times, left ten runners stranded, and went 0-9 with runners in scoring position. In contrast, Penn capitalized on eleven hits and ten successful at-bats with runners on base.
