Auburn was down early in this game but put together the fourth-largest comeback by an SEC team in the last five seasons to win the series over Mississippi State.

Cole Foster walked it off in the bottom of the ninth to send the Bulldogs back to Starkville unhappy.

There is a lot of fight in this Auburn team, and that fight just might get them into the postseason.

What can we take away from the massive Auburn game three and series win?

Cooper McMurray is getting hot at the right time

Cooper McMurray hit two home runs in this game, giving him five RBI's of Auburn's 12 runs. The lefty has hit a homer in four straight games and is seeing the ball really well. McMurray has a beautiful swing, so it is no surprise that the homers have started to come for the transfer from Kansas. He now has ten homers on the year, and it wouldn't be shocking if he finished the season with fifteen or more. McMurray is going to hit a lot of long balls in his Auburn career.

Nate LaRue hit his first bomb of the year

It's no secret that Nate LaRue has had a rough go of it at the plate this season, but he hit his first bomb to cut the deficit for the Tigers. He paired this dinger with a base hit, giving him two hits on the afternoon. LaRue is a streaky hitter, so perhaps he is getting hot at the right time as this ball club pushes to make the postseason. It was great to see LaRue send one of the scoreboard.

This team has no quit

This Auburn team has absolutely no quit in them. They almost made a massive comeback in game two of the series and were able to complete the comeback in this game to win the series over Mississippi State. Teams that never quit always seem to be better in the postseason, so this dog mentality could help the Tigers go far in tournament play.

Konner Copeland kept the Tigers in this game

Konner Copeland had an excellent outing throwing 4.1 innings only allowing one run, which was unearned. I have been saying for months the Tigers need a few arms outside of Will Cannon and John Armstrong to separate themselves, and perhaps this outing from Copeland will give him the confidence he needs to finish the season strong. The lefty had all three pitches working leading to him dominating for over a third of this ball game. Copeland finishing the season strong would be a massive boost for this ball club.
