Another Friday night win for Butch Thompson and the Auburn Tigers.

Auburn baseball found some offense and won the contest 7-3 against Lipscomb.

Auburn has scored 60 runs on 64 hits in the last five games, totaling double digit runs and hits in four of the five contests, and is hitting .383 while reaching base at a .502 clip during the span.

The Tigers have struck out only 23 times total in the last five games, including five or fewer times in four of the five contests and only three times on three occasions.

The team’s .342 average is good for fourth in the SEC and 11th in the country.

Bryson Ware and Ike Irish rank first and second in the league and third and fourth in the country with batting averages of .577 and .576, respectively.

All six of Justin Kirby’s hits this season have been home runs. His six homers in the first eight games of the season are the most by an Auburn player since at least 1993.
