An Unusual Press Conference Caught Bruce Pearl by Surprise

Bruce Pearl has done a lot of charitable work while with the Auburn Tigers

Press conferences are a routine part of life for big time college coaches. So, it was just another normal day for Auburn Basketball's Bruce Pearl, as he made his way to the press room to field questions. But this press conference turned out to be anything, but routine.

As Pearl entered the room, there sat about a dozen people associated with his AUTLIVE campaign instead of the expected members of the media. Providers, patients, survivors, friends and family of cancer patients were waiting to express their gratitude for what AUTLIVE has done for them since Bruce brought it to Auburn. Bruce Pearl has won nearly 200 games as Auburn's basketball coach, but he's won 1000x that in the hearts of cancer patients and their families throughout the state of Alabama.
