Auburn makes top 5 for combo guard Dylan Harper

Five-star combo guard Dylan Harper liked how Auburn "develops for the next level."

Dylan Harper is a five-star combo guard from Ramsey, New Jersey.

Harper recently released his list of top five schools, including Auburn, Indiana, Duke, Kansas, and Rutgers.

He is a top-five player in the 2024 class, which would make him Auburn's highest-ranked commit of all time over passing Jabari Smith.

Joe Tipton of On3 asked Harper what stands out to him about Auburn and this is what he had to say, "What I like about Auburn is how they develop guys and their culture. They get people prepared for the next level and always win. They stand out because of the amount of draft picks I always see that go to Auburn."

This response is becoming more and more common from recruits as Auburn sends more players to the league.

When it comes to Harper on the court, he is a true combo guard since he can handle the ball at the one and spot-up shoot at the two.

He also drives to the rim at a high level and can finish through contact, thanks to his above-average size for a guard.

Harper is the prototypical style of guard that succeeds in today's college basketball.

If Auburn could land Harper, he would become the Tiger's next lottery pick.

It's going to be hard to beat out Duke and Kansas for this big-time recruit, but if anyone can get it done, it's Bruce Pearl.
