Auburn moves up to a five seed in Joe Lunardi's recent Bracketology update
The Auburn Tigers moved up a few spots to a 5th seed in the West Bracket in the latest ESPN Bracketology update after a blowout win over the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday.
The Tigers are 7-2 going into Sunday’s afternoon game against Bronny James and the USC Trojans in Neville Arena.
With that said, according to the latest update, Auburn would face off against 12th-seed Grand Canyon in the first round. Should they win that contest, they would likely face off against 4th-seed BYU in the second round.
Eight other SEC teams are currently in the field for the NCAA tournament adding two from last weeks play; here is a quick breakdown of where they sit currently:
SEC Teams:
- Tennessee is sitting as a 3rd-seed with a 7-3 record heading into the weekend.
- Alabama is currently a 5th-seed with a 6-3 record as they round out week six.
- Kentucky is sitting as a 6th-seed with a 7-2 record heading into the weekend.
- Texas A&M is holding as a 7th-seed with a 7-3 record heading into week seven.
- Ole Miss is currently a 9th-seed with a 9-0 record as they round out week six.
- Florida is also sitting as a 9th-seed with a 7-3 record as they head into the weekend.
- South Carolina enters the mix as a 10th-seed with an 8-1 record as they head into week seven.
- Mississippi State is also sitting as a 10th seed with an 8-2 record as they close out week six.
