Auburn basketball is a top 20 team in the NET Rankings after beating USC

Auburn's NET Ranking improved after the win over USC.

NET Rankings are one of the essential metrics when it comes to seeding in the NCAA Tournament, and Auburn improved theirs by beating the USC Trojans in Neville Arena.

Auburn played a great game from start to finish, taking down the Trojans 91-75 in front of a rowdy home crowd.

Thanks to this win over USC, Auburn moved up three spots in the NET Rankings from 22 to 19.

The NET Rankings break wins down into four quadrants so let's take a look at Auburn's record broken down into Quad's.

Quad 1: 0-2

Quad 2: 2-0

Quad 3: 2-0

Quad: 4-0

Auburn has a good resume to this point, but they need to start winning some Quad 1 games, or it could hurt them when it comes to seeding in March.

Looking at the schedule, there are a ton of Quad 1 win opportunities still coming up, so the Tigers need to win some of these ball games.

The metrics really like this Auburn basketball team, so if they can find a way to mix in a few wins over Quad 1 teams, a high seed is up for grabs for Bruce Pearl's squad.

We will learn a ton about this team when SEC play begins, and it is right around the corner.
