Auburn basketball has officially hit the postseason, tipping off against an opponent they claim to not have much love for.
The Tigers (20-11, 10-8 SEC) face off against Arkansas (19-12, 8-10 SEC) tonight in the second round of the SEC tournament in Nashville. Auburn enters as the No. 7 seed while the Razorbacks begin postseason play as a No. 10 seed in the conference tourney.
Bruce Pearl's squad finds themselves firmly in the NCAA tournament (according to projections) but will want to pick up as many quality wins as possible to possibly boost their seed.
Here's some photos of Auburn warming up pregame before they take on the Hogs.
Series History
Arkansas leads auburn 36-22 in the all-time series between the two schools. The Tigers broke a three-game losing streak to the Hogs after winning 72-59 in Neville Arena earlier this season. Auburn's last two losses to Arkansas have been by a total six points.
Two of the last five games have gone to overtime.
Last season, the Razorbacks defeated No. 1 Auburn 80-76 in overtime, leaving a bad taste in some players' mouths. “We don’t like Arkansas,” Auburn guard Wendell Green Jr. said earlier this week. “So, it’s a lot of intensity between us and Arkansas. Going into it we know that.”
