GALLERY: Auburn basketball defeats No. 12 Tennessee 79-70
Auburn basketball is going to the NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers (20-11, 10-8 SEC) defeated No. 12 Tennessee 79-70 on Saturday afternoon to earn their third Quad 1 victory of the season and secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
Now, Auburn turns their attention to Nashville, as they get set for the SEC Tournament next week.
Wendell Green Jr. led all scorers with 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Allen Flanigan and Johni Broome poured in 16 and 17 points as well.

Series History
Tennessee basketball leads the all-time series vs Auburn 79-41, with the Tigers having won six out of the last ten matchups. Auburn holds a 29-24 record vs the Vols at home, but a 8-47 record in Thompson-Boiling Arena.
After winning six straight from 2017-2020, the Tigers have lost their last two vs UT, both games coming on the road. Auburn looks to get back into the win column tonight and solidify a spot in the NCAA tournament.
