Bracketology: Where do ESPN's latest projections have Auburn?
The No. 13 Auburn Tigers saw a slight increase in their projected seeding by ESPN's Joe Lunardi.
The Tigers went 1-1 over the past week, beating the No. 16 Alabama Crimson Tide 99-81 at home on Wednesday and falling 81-65 to the Florida Gators on the road on Saturday.
In Lunardi's previous projection, Auburn was listed as a No. 4 seed in the South Region playing in Brooklyn, New York.
In the latest projection, Auburn has moved to a No. 3 seed and has moved to the East Region.
Auburn would still be playing its first two games in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center, a venue that the Tigers have played in previously this season.
Auburn would be taking on the No. 14 seed Vermont Catamounts in the first round and the winner of the No. 6 seed Oklahoma Sooners and the No. 11 seed Indiana State Sycamores in the round of 32.
If the Tigers made it past the opening weekend, they would play their Sweet 16 and potentially Elite Eight games at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
The SEC had nine teams included in these projections. The highest-seeded SEC team is still the Tennessee Volunteers at a No. 2 seed. The lowest-seeded SEC team is the Mississippi State Bulldogs at a No. 9 seed.
Auburn returns to action tomorrow night to host the No. 11 South Carolina Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
