Four-star small forward Jahki Howard commits to Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers
A great day for Auburn basketball got even better as four-star small forward Jahki Howard announced he would be committing to Auburn.
Howard chose Bruce Pearl's program over Arkansas, Arizona State, and Georgia Tech.
The six-foot-six 175-pound small forward is listed as the 85th best player in the class on 247Sports and the 117th best player on On3.
ESPN has him ranked the highest at 59th in the 2024 class.
Ahead of Howard's Auburn pledge, we found out the Tiger's other 2024 commit, Tahaad Pettiford, was signing his NLI, which is excellent news.
There was some talk of Pettiford looking at some other places, like potentially the pro route, but him inking his NLI means he will be an Auburn Tiger.
When it comes to Howard and his ability on the court, he is a long wing who can jump out of the gym and has a beautiful jump shot.
His shot doesn't always fall, but the form is there, which means he has a ton of potential.
Many in the college basketball recruiting world believe Howard should be ranked higher, and if you look at the tape, it makes sense why people feel this way.
With Howard and Pettiford both locked in as Auburn Tigers, this 2024 class is going to be something special, and the Tigers are set up for success for a very long time.
